This unit relates to creating design solutions, under supervision, for small residential detached living units restricted to Class 1 and a maximum area of 120m2, and presenting them as design drawings from which other construction documentation can be commenced. Issues such as Passive Solar Design, residential building history, massing and roof forms, client briefs, design considerations, are addressed within the unit, and application of the skills and knowledge is demonstrated.
